The
Principals and Deputy Principals Working Committee (JAPTIM) organised a Maulud Nabi
Muhammad Salluhu Alaiwassalam celebration on 10 Mac, 2011 / 5 Rabiulakhir, 1432
held at Institute Tahfiz Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Bandar Seri Begawan,
Negara Brunei Darussalam.
In
a speech, JAPTIM Chairperson, Pg Hj Zahari bin Pg Hj Ahmad said it marked one
of the most celebrated events in the Muslim calendar and the event yesterday
was aimed at fostering closer ties between JAPTIM members.
There
was a religious talk by Ustaz Termizi bin Haji Mahmud, a lecturer from the
Islamic Dakwah Centre. The talk focused on the teachings of the prophet and his
sacrifices in spreading Islam to the world.
The
guest of honour at the event was the Acting Director of the Examinations
Department, Ministry of Education, Hjh Kamlah bte Hj Ahad. The guest of honour
presented mementos to the guest lecturer and a Tahfiz student who recited surahs
of the Quran.
