The Committee of Principals and Deputy Principals of Secondary Schools (JAPTIM) of the Ministry of Education yesterday held a surah yassin and tahlil recital in conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan in the lecture theatre of Katok Sixth Form Centre, Gadong.
The guest of honour was Awang Ibrahim Haji Abd Rahman, Acting Special Duties Officer of the Ministry of Education.
The programme began with a mass recital of the surah al-fatihah followed by a welcoming speech by the master of ceremonies. It was followed immediately by the recital of surah Yassin lead by Awang Haji Hussein Haji Matniah and recital of the tahlil led by Awang Haji Mohd Adenin Haji Hamdan.
The event concluded with the presentation of donations.
